Liberia: Fire in Capitol Building

The Central Administration offices and Library of the House of Representatives Wing at the Capitol Building were gutted by huge fire late Tuesday evening.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be established by the National Fire Service and the Liberia National Police.

According to our reporter who rushed on the scene upon hearing information, the fire got serious as thick smoke was seen at the central administration, Library and the restaurant above the office of the House of Representatives Press Bureau.

The level of damage done to the building is yet to be established as firefighters struggled to quench the raging fire.
