Gambia: IEC Issues Nomination Forms

The Independent Electoral Commission has announced that it will be issuing nomination forms to prospective candidates for the local government elections from Monday 28 January 2013.

The announcement is contained in a press release which indicated that in pursuant to Section 193 of the Constitution and Section 9 of the Local Government Act 2002 it will conduct the Local Government Elections on 4th April 2002. It emphasized that the forms are free of charge and can be collected from the IEC Regional Offices across the country or at the Election House along Bertil Harding Highway. Editor's Note
