Egypt: Presidency - Morsi Visits Germany for Few Hours

President Mohamed Morsi arrives today Wednesday 30/1/2013 in Berlin on a few hours visit to Germany, Presidential Spokesman Yasser Ali said.

During the visit, President Morsi will hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Ali noted.

Egypt's Ambassador to Germany Mohamed Hegazi said talks will cover promoting trade exchange between Egypt and Germany, currently totaling € 4 billion Euros, as well the German investments in the Egyptian market and encouraging German tourists to visit Egypt.

The President will address the Egyptian-German business forum on political and economic reforms and measures taken by the Egyptian government to facilitate foreign investments. An agreement to form an Egyptian-German economic committee is to be signed during the forum.

The President will also meet several German businessmen and members of the Egyptian community in Germany.
