Kenya: Man Dies in Mwingi Road Crash

A middle aged man has been confirmed dead following a tragic road accident yesterday. The accident occurred along Mwingi-Garrisa road.

Confirming the incident the Mwingi police boss Simon Birir said that the said man is a worker in public works. He said the three were travelling from Mwingi to Wajir town when the accident occurred at Nguni market.

He said a motorbike appeared from nowhere making the driver of the GK to lose control where the vehicle overturned and landed in a ditch.

"The vehicle had three passengers abode. The four works at the ministry of Public works at Wajir town and were travelling in a Government vehicle. One passenger escaped unhurt, two sustained minor injuries while the third one died on arrival to the Mwingi General hospital," Said Birir.
