A 51-year-old woman appeared before a Thika court charged with malicious damage to property. Esther Muthoni was arraigned before resident magistrate Wesley Cheruiyot.
Muthoni denied that on January 5 at Gatong'ora in Ruiru, she threatened to beat Stephen Njoroge then went ahead to destroy 10 plastic chairs, 12 plastic cups and 24 beer bottles, steal a KEG cylinder and Sh5,000 cash all valued at about Sh17,000. She was released on bond of Sh 50,000 and hearing set for March 18.
