Kenya: Itierio Girl Tops Primary School Exams in Nyanza

Iterio Girls Boarding School in Kisii county produced the top girl in Nyanza in last year's KCPE. Elizabeth Moraa Omae scored 423 out of 500. She is the third born out of four children.

Omae said her ambition is to become a doctor. Her closest competitor was Cyprene Nyamumbo who scored 415 points. Speaking to the press yesterday at the school, Omae said she hopes to join Alliance Girls School.

The top girl said she was overjoyed to get 423 marks because her aim was 400. Headteacher Grace Mang'era attributed Omae's performance to hard work, dedication team work.
