Kenya: Lover Accused of Burning Suitor's House

A 30 year old woman was arraigned before a Thika court where she denied burning her suitor's house. Beatrice Mumbi appeared before resident magistrate Wesley Cheruiyot.

Mumbi denied that on December 3 at Kiairegi village, Murang'a she set on fire, a house valued at Sh900,000 belonging to Ezra Kihunya following a quarrel between them. She was remanded after failing to raise bond of Sh300,000 and the case set for hearing on April 5.
