Rwanda: Amavubi Line Up Cranes Friendly

THE national football team, Amavubi Stars, will gauge their readiness for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers when they take on Uganda Cranes on February 6 at Amahoro National stadium.

Amavubi will resume their pursuit of a slot at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil on March 22 when they host Mali in Kigali.

A source inside the Rwanda Football Federation (Ferwafa) confirmed, yesterday, that they have proposed to their Ugandan counterparts February 6 as the date for the game.

Ferwafa officials are set to meet their financier, the Ministry of Sports and Culture, to decide on whether the government will meet all expenses for the Uganda Cranes team.

Uganda Football Association Communication and Publicity officer, Rogers Mulindwa, told Times Sport yesterday from Kampala, "We have had a phone conversation from Ferwafa officials over the friendly match."
