At least three students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja were killed by a suspected drunken driver said to be a lecturer in the school.

The lecturer was said to have knocked down one miss Taiwo Edilola Omolola, an HND1 student as she was about to board a commercial motorcycle from the campus .

According to an eyewitness, he was on high speed when he hit the victim and two other students waiting to board a cab.

The witness added that the slain student was said to have got stocked under the lecturer's car wheel just as he dragged her along the expressway.

The mutilated body was later pulled out and while making a detour to escape being lynched by angry mob, he hit and killed two other students who were waiting to board a cab at the opposite direction.

However, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Ajayi Akansanmi said he was yet to confirm the incident.

But the Public Relations officer of the polytechnic, Mr Luke Yakubu confirmed the accident.
