Angola: Researcher Suggests Vernacular Language Prize

Luanda — The researcher of the Angolan popular songs Jomo Fortunao on Wednesday here suggested the creation of a national prize of disc in national languages, Angop has learnt.

It would be a way of maintenance of the music song book, stimulation and preservation of languages, said Jomo Fortunato, in the fringes of the workshop on Angolan popular music, held by the Ministry of Culture.

Jomo Fortunato said it is very important that the institution creates a prize for the singersthat have song in vernacular languages, so that they can consider that one that already exist,stimulating the spirit of roots research, to preserve the vernacular languages and at the same time to study these languages.
