Angola: UNFAO Pays Homage to Angola

Luanda — Angola will get a homage in July this year by the UN Agriculture and Food Organization for reducing to half the number of people facing malnutrition, Angop has learnt.

This was announced on Wednesday by the director general of this international organization, José Graziano da Silva, after an audience granted by the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos.

According to him, reduction of mal-nutrition is the first goal proposed under the millennium development's programme.

He also said that Angola is moving towards the eradication of hunger, a deed that he considers a highlight in the African continent that has been struggling with many difficulties to win this battle.
