Angola: 4 February Preparatory Commission Visits Military Brigade

Luena — Members belonging to the preparatory commission for the commemoration of the 52nd anniversary of the start of the of the armed struggle against colonialism in Angola, on 4 February (1961), visited Wednesday the 72nd Infantry and Motorised Brigade of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA ), stationed in Luena City, eastern Moxico Province.

ANGOP learnt that the visit symbolizes the bravery showed by the February 4 heroes, whose anniversary will be marked under the motto "Let us honour our heroes, promoting social solidarity."

The celebration of the 4th February anniversary will also be marked by the lying of a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, followed by the provincial political event of mass taking place at the headquarters of Kamanongue municipal.

The preparatory commission comprises members of the government, defence, security and internal order services.

Young people from various social walks also integrate the commission.
