Nigeria: Mali Crises - NIS Fortifies Border Patrols to Curb Illegal Immigrants

As part of its effort to track down and also curb illegal immigrants into the country, the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), has reinforced the country's borders by recalling more officers from the hinterland where they are not currently needed so as to fortify border patrols considering the ongoing war efforts in Mali.

The Acting Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Deputy Comptroller Bala Rilwan Musa disclosed this Wednesday at the NIS Headquarters, Airport Road, Abuja while addressing journalists in his office.
