Nigeria: Rangers Trash Flying Eagles Again

Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles, on Wednesday lost 2-0 to Enugu Rangers in a second warm-up game against the Nigeria Premier League runners-up.

At the weekend, Rangers won the first game 1-0 in Nanka.

On Wednesday, a goal in each half by Sanusi Sani earned 'The Flying Antelopes' a second victory at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

According to the spokesperson of the team, Samm Audu: "Both teams gave a good account of themselves."

The Flying Eagles are also billed to take on Heartland as well as Bayelsa United in their build-up to the 2013 African Youth championship in Oran, Algeria.

They are also scheduled to test their readiness against their counterparts from Egypt and Benin next month.

Nigeria are the defending champions and are seeded in Group B along with Gabon, DR Congo and Mali.

The tournament kicks off on March 16.
