Nigeria: South East PDP Says Kalu's Admission Is Illegal

Umuahia — Leadership of People Democratic Party (PDP) in the South East zone says the claim by the former Governor of Abia state that he has been admitted into the party is untrue.

A statement by the national vice chairman of the party, retired Colonel Austin Akobundu said the South-East PDP has written a report to the national leadership of the party insisting that Chief Uzor Kalu has not been re-admitted to the party.

He said the purported re-admission of Kalu contravenes article 8, section 8 of the PDP constitution.
