Gombe — The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) is currently training about 300 youths and 200 vulnerable and disabled people in various skills in Gombe, the state NDE Co-ordinator, Mairiga Abdulkadir Madubi, said.
He said the youths will receive training on the four core programmes of the scheme which include agriculture, economic, technological and business sectors.
Madubi said the National Directorate of Employment is not a provider of white collar jobs but engaged in training people in marketable skills.
"We have about 300 people currently undergoing training in various skills such as carpentry, hair dressing, welding and metal fabrication and at the end of the training we will settle them," he said.
