Senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party, Essam al-Erian, said on Wednesday that "warmongers" are hindering the democratic transition of Egypt which he described as an inspiration for the Arab, Islamic and African regions.
"Strong and free Egypt is an annoyance and nightmare for warmongers around the world who are trying to hinder its democratic path because its aim is to eradicate tyranny and corruption," Erian said on Wednesday.
He insisted that peace-seeking actors in the international community are those who are supporting Egypt's democratic transition, adding that Egypt has become a "modern, democratic state."
