KONKOLA Copper Mines (KCM) is keen to retain some of the 600 workers who lost their jobs after the mine terminated services of U&M Mining early this month.
U&M Mining, a Brazilian company, was contracted in 2009 to help KCM mine two areas of the Chingola Open Pit Mine for waste and copper ore whose production has since been suspended.
