Angola: China Finances Primary School in Huambo

Luanda — The foundation stone for the construction of an Angola-China Friendship School, in the central Huambo Province, will be laid on January 31, in the framework of the co-operation between both states.

According to a press note from the Embassy of China, which reached ANGOP on Wednesday, the construction of the school is a result of a donation made by China to Angola, and the infrastructure is to be built by a Chinese firm.

The note states that the project includes the construction of a library, a canteen and a sports field, and it is to be concluded in nine months.

"It is a one of the projects that has been conceived to stimulate the economic and commercial co-operation between China and Africa, in the ambit of the measures adopted at the Fourth Ministerial Conference of the Sino-Africa Co-operation Forum", reads the document.

Still according to the note, the ceremony will be attended by the Huambo Province governor, China's extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Angola, as well as teachers and students.
