Gambia: Gunjur Upper Basic School Inter-House Athletics Competition Set for Saturday

The much awaited 2013 Gunjur Upper Basic School inter-school athletics competition is set for Saturday 2 February 2013 at the school's playground.

Four houses, namely defending champions Foday Sillah, Kwame, Cabral and Samori, will be vying for the championship title.

Defending Champions Foday Sillah will face serious competition from Kwame, Cabral and Samori for this year's competition.

Samori is the most decorated house in Gunjur Upper Basic School athletics competition and has won the competition more than Cabral, Samori and Foday Sillah in previous years but failed to deliver up to expectations in the 2011 and 2012 competitions.

The competition is expected to attract large crowd from Gunjur and its satellite areas for the school's biggest annual sporting event.

The school will use the competition to scout out good athletes who will represent the institution in the national athletics competition later this year.
