Lagos — Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Abubakar, yesterday, in Lagos, disclosed that renovation of the Police College, Ikeja, would begin as soon as fund was released for the purpose.

This came as the IGP was urged to equip the Special Fraud Unit SFU, in Milverton, Ikoyi, Lagos with modern forensic investigation laboratory that would meet with international standards.

The IGP who was represented by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police 'C' Department, Emmanuel Udeoji, spoke at the foundation laying ceremony of the proposed two-storey building named after former Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Commassie, at the SFU.

Although he declined further details on when the money would be released, he said aside the renovation, the college would also be equipped.
