Nigeria: Gombe - Gunmen Kill Two Policemen, Injure One

Gombe State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two of its men around the central roundabout in Gombe metropolis Thursday morning.

The law enforcement agents were attacked at a stop and search point at about 6:30am in a shooting that eyewitness said also injured a nearby civilian, a beggar.

Confirming the incident, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Fwaje Atajiri said security in the area was each day fortified with two patrol vehicles and a rapid response squad from Gombe Central Division.
