Nigeria: Gunmen Attack Kano Police Station

A police station in Bunkure Local Government Area of Kano state was partially torched and two people killed, when armed men attacked it around 7pm on Wednesday night.

AIG in charge of Zone 1, Mr. David Omojola told Daily Trust that a team is presently on its way to the location to assess the extent of damage and issue a report afterwards.

Unconfirmed reports say a policeman and a civilian were killed in the attack.

Residents report hearing at least three different explosions from the station. One wing of the building was completely gutted by the resulting flames.
