South Africa: ANC Must Pay for Elephants Court Settlements

press release

The IFP demands that the ANC as an organisation must shoulder the financial burden of the out-of-court settlement reached with Mr Andries Botha over the elephants controversy.

From the outset we condemned what was a party-political decision which interfered with municipal processes because the decision to halt that project was driven by ANC's narrow political interests.

Therefore the ANC, and not taxpayers, must carry all the financial demands relating to this case.

Above that as the IFP we wish to once-again draw the attention of the public to the ANC's abuse tendency to power regardless of the consequences thereof to the citizens.
