Angola: Rains Leave 1,386 Families Homeless in Mbanza Kongo

Mbanza Kongo — At least 1,386 families were left homeless in Mbanza Kongo, Northern Zaire Province, following the heavy rains that hit the city on Tuesday night, says the civil protection and fire department.

The rains destroyed 231 residences, being 122 in 11 de Novembro and 109 in SagradaEsperança wards, surroundings of Mbanza Kongo city, adds the source.

The rains also injured seven people that are receiving medical treatment in the local provincial hospital, says the department.
