Angola: Police Seize Fifty One Landmines in Yard

Luena — At least 51 degraded mines were discovered by the Police on the playground of a residence, located in Sangondo ward, surroundings of Luena city, eastern Moxico province, Angop has learnt.

A press note from the corporation says the explosive devices belong to a citizen named Jesus Cachicambe. On the occasion he also found out seven other landmines.

The discovery is part of the disarming process of the population in illegal possession of weapons, he said.
