Nigeria: ...as Hit-and-Run Driver Injures Cyclist At Dei-Dei

A middle-aged cyclist was on Monday knocked down by a hit-and-run driver along Dei-dei Zuba Expressway, leaving him seriously wounded.

A witness said the victim, Musa Hambali, was crossing the road when the driver knocked him down and zoomed off.

The witness, who put the accident time at 10:30am, said the victim's right leg was almost cut off but was immediately rushed to the Kubwa General Hospital by passers-by, where he is presently receiving treatment.

When contacted, the Head, Accident and Emergency Unit of the hospital, Dr. Paul Oliseh, said the victim had a multiple fracture but is responding to treatment.
