Popular band Omidi d'Afrique will take to the stage in a concert to promote their latest album, 'Green Revolution' when the 'Back to the Roots' concert takes place on Saturday, February 2, at Zenzo Lounge.
The band who have been making music together for the past 14 years specialise in Reggae with a touch of traditional Shambo. The album 'Green Revolution' was released last year and comes seven years after their previous album, 'All We Need is Love' was released back in 2005.
Omidi d'Afrique is made up of band members, Farri Dread Haukondo on lead guitar and vocals, Eric Hamytenya on rhythm guitar, Gisho Gisho on on drums, Danny Daniel on keyboard and Oye Katuta on backing vocals.
Fans can look forward to the band performing old favourites such as 'Let's Play in the Sun Shine', 'Dula loka' and 'Sha la la la'.
Artists that will be getting the audience warmed up before the band come on stage include, Qonja, Ngatu, Shikololo and Shooting Stars.
Tickets are available at Zenso Lounge for N$40 in advance and N$50 at the gate. Gates open at 19h00 for 20h00.
