Namibia: Half a Million Namibian Dollars to Be Won in Talent Competition

Windhoek — The Overall Winner in the Trustco Group's Star Performer Talent Competition receives a cash prize of N$250,000 courtesy of Trustco Group International.

If the Overall Winner is a Trustco Shareholder, paid-up Shield member, active IOL student or an active Trustco Finance client, the cash Prize of N$ 250,000 will be doubled and the winner will receive N$500 000-00!

The Trustco Group has just announced its main sponsorship of the first Talent Competition of its kind in Namibia! This sponsorship marks the beginning of Trustco's 21st Birthday Celebrations.

"Trustco'sStar Performer"Talent competition will be broadcast live on the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and will showcase talent such as drama, vocal, instrumental music,dance, modelling, beauty pageants for males and females, circus acts, performing arts groups, fashion design and a variety of other acts. Trustco's Star Performer television crew, judges and staff will travel nationwide to seek out the best talent Namibia can offer.

International talent scout Kim Myers, from the United States of America (USA), will also be part of the audition process. Countrywide auditions will take place between February 14 and March 16 in the towns of Outjo, Ongwediva, Tsumeb, Rundu, Windhoek, Keetmanshoop, Stampriet, Mariental, Otjiwarongo, Karibib, Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Gobabis.

The competition aims to groom potential talent and to expose promising young artists to the local and international industries. This initiative will, in addition to facilitating conduits for our talented performers, go a long way in improving the livelihood of families, possibly forever, and is another step forward in Trustco's pursuit to create wealth for all.

New and emerging performers will be given an opportunity to showcase their talent, which will hopefully result into employment for the gifted.

The overall winner, category winners and runner-ups in all categories will be promoted on the Trustco's Star Performer Website and in the Informanté. This competition will provide a platform and the beginning of data base for new emerging performers, to be noticed and viewed by other established artists, event managers, television stations, film production companies, radio stations and the entertainment and media industries for bookings. Closing date for entries will be February 9 and no late entries will be

accepted. Those aspiring can enter online at www.be-a-star-performer.com or complete an entry form at any Trustco office.The help lines will also be able to answer any questions about the entry and registration process.The entry fee is N$ 100.00 per item entered, per entrant. Trustco Shareholders, paid-up Shield members, active IOL students, active Trustco Finance clients and their dependants may enter two items free of charge to the value of N$200.00.

All entrants will be listed on an Audition List in their respective audition town.

Only performers who are listed on the Audition Lists of the particular towns may audition at the Country Wide auditions. Successful performers at the auditions will receive an Advance Card which will be the ticket to advance them to the next and final round of auditions. The final round is called the Extravaganza Round and will be hosted in Windhoek on a date to be announced during May 2013. If the performer's audition was unsuccessful, the performer will receive a Decline Card and may unfortunately not continue to the final round of the competition.
