press release

The following letter has been sent to Brian Dames, CEO of Eskom.

It inquires about media reports which cover suspicious correspondance between Eskom and Swartberg Intelligence Support Services. Earthlife Africa Jhb, groundWork and Greenpeace Africa express their serious concern regarding Eskom's unethical behaviour of spying on South African citizens.

In its joint letter, the three organisations press Eskom to provide an answer by the end of business on 8 February, 2013.

One of the media reports was published in Business Day live on 20 January, 2013.
