It is no doubt that qualitative education lays the foundation for a bright child to explore and contribute immensely to societal growth in their chosen fields as they grow into adulthood.

Last week, Mbari Mbayo School in Yaba, Lagos staged its founder's day silver jubilee anniversary to celebrate 25years of being a citadel of qualitative learning and the breeding ground for great minds.

The Founder and Proprietress, Mrs. Mary Ajibola Aiyegbusi pointed out that what seemed like a mere wishful thinking has grown to be a force to reckon with.

According to her, "I am thankful to the sovereign being because it hasn't been easy but all the same, God has been faithful and this has made me to constantly remind my teachers that it's not my school alone but their school as well and whatever they have to do, it must be to set a positive mark because they have to set a standard whereby the children would be able to fit into the society with open minds, honesty and optimism.

"When there's a will, then you'll always find a way. there are some schools that started with me but they are nowhere to be found today because they did not have the welfare of children at heart and did not by any means try to keep up to standard. I am humbled that after all these years; my experience with children has been worthwhile and ever green.

This experience is what I cannot switch for anything in the world." Aiyegbsi said

In her remarks, the former Commissioner of Education in Edo State, Prof. Ngozi Osarenren congratulated the school and also used the medium to advise other schools to uphold standard required for learning.

"I am elated and happy to have graced this occasion. I am here because Mbari Mbayo upholds uttermost standard and dedication to the tenets of ideal learning environment."

She urged parents to take the education of their wards seriously. She said, "parents should take the education of their wards as their paramount duty, irrespective of the harsh economic crises that we are experiencing, it is quite necessary to have your wards in schools where teachers go beyond the normal routine of teaching and walking away" Osarenren stressed.

The highpoint of the event included the unveiling and launching of the Year Book alongside the formal presentation of the school's trophy as the overall winner in the Senior Secondary Schools category of the 2012 Lagos State Brighter Rewarding
