Gambia: Alleged Rape Case Adjourned

The alleged rape case involving one Modou Jallow could not proceed at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

When called, state counsel N. Jawara told the court that she had three other witnesses to call but they were not in court.

She told the court she called one of her witnesses who promised to turn up, but when she called him again, the witness did not pick up the call.

She then applied for an adjournment, which was granted without any objection from the defence counsel, O.D. Mbye.

The case continues.
