A farmer's meeting nearly turned chaotic yesterday as some 1000 farmers affiliated to Mogogosiek Tea Factory clashed over who should be elected as Bomet governor.
The meeting convened to usher in the factory's newly elected directors ended prematurely after farmers engaged in a heated argument over Isaac Rutto and Julius Kones candidature.
Factory management accused Kones, who was given a chance to address farmers, of inciting them and making it impossible to continue with the agenda of the meeting. The new directors did not even get a chance to address the farmers.
