Kenya: Former TPF Judge Gerald Leaves Universal Records

Universal Records Africa representative Gerald Foster has left the organisation. Popularly known as Judge Gerald, he announced that he left the international record label to pursue his own dreams.

"I'm no longer with Universal Records. I left the label three weeks ago and will now be working on my own projects. I did not leave in bad terms though but there comes a time when one has to follow his heart," Gerald told Word Is.

Gerald who has previously worked with Gallo Records which was the official record label for Tusker Project Fame before Universal took over last season.

It is however not clear whether he will still be handling the unfinished projects by the Tusker project fame top contestants Ruth Matete and Jackson Kalimba from Rwanda who were both signed to the label last year.

" Ruth's album was delayed but unfortunately I'm not in a position to comment on behalf of Universal Records who were handling it. However I know that everything will be ready by March,"said Gerald who is Kenya on business.

It is not clear on what projects he is working on at the moment but he was spotted in a meeting with Seun Kuti, the son of legendary Nigerian musician Femi Kuti.
