Eritrea: Assab Municipal Administration Condemns Expired Consumer Goods

Assab — The controlling unit in the municipal Administration of the port city of Assab has condemned expired consumer goods such as packed food and cigarettes following its supervision venture in sales outlets and stores.

Mr. Hassan Abdu Mohammed, head of municipal police and urban hygiene in the municipal Administration, explained that similar inspectional visits are made on weekly basis, and disclosed that punitive action was taken on those who did not discard such commodities from their stock.

Likewise, Mr. Abduselam Nasser, head of environmental hygiene in Assab sub-zone, pointed out that the Ministry of Health's branch is exerting more endeavors towards reinforcing control mechanisms in this regard.
