Mendefera — The dirt road linking Mendefera city and Kinafna village, which used to cause serious transport problem, has been renovated through popular undertaking and collaboration of EDF members.

Among the coordinators of the undertaking, Mr. Zerai Medhanie indicated that the process involved 500 manpower and machinery, and that water drainage canals have been built along the dirt road to reduce the impact of erosion during the summer season.

Among the participants of the undertaking, Mr. Tekle Haile, Mr. Habtemariam Gebremeskel and Ms. Asli Solomon voiced satisfaction with the renovation of the road and lauded the active role of EDF members in the campaign.

Mr. Kidane Asmelash, Administration of Kinafna Administrative area, explained that the road is strategically important, and expressed the inhabitants' readiness to sustain community initiative pursuing similar development activities.

Kinafna village is located some 30 Km. east of Mendefera city.
