Angola: São Tome Wants to Reinforce Cooperation With Angola

São Tomé — The need for reinforcement of cooperation between the parliaments of Angola and São Tome and Principe was highlighted Thursday in São Tome by the speaker of that country's House, Alcino Pinto.

This was during an audience granted to him by the Angolan ambassador to the archipelago, Alfredo Eduardo Mingas.

The partnership is focused on the exchange of experience and information, said the Angolan diplomat after the audience.

According to the ambassador, Alcino Pinto informed him on the political, economic and social situation of the country and also spoke to him about the functioning of the São Tomese Parliament.

Since December last year, Alfredo Mingas has been meeting with Sao Tomese authorities.

The diplomat has so far been received in audience by the local Foreign minister for Communities, Natália Umbelina, and by the prime minister Gabriel da Costa.

Meanwhile, Eduardo Mingas received in audience on Wednesday the members of the local Higher Media Council.
