Angola: General Electric Considers Angola Country of Future

Luanda — General Electric considers Angola a country of a great future and that has good perspectives for the company's growth, says the manager of the multinational, Jeff Immelt, after a meeting with the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos.

He that said he expressed to the Angolan head of State the interest of his company to invest in the areas of transports, with highlight to the railways, health and infrastructure.

General Electric considers to invest in the areas of transports, health and infrastructure, as Angola is seen as one of the greatest countries with a future which also reserves a good future for the US company, he explained.

Jeff Immelt also said that investments in Angola is currently estimated at Usd 2.0 billion and new investments in new areas will be announced soon.

The meeting also served for the two to assess the activities carried out in Angola by the company in the domains of oil, transports, energy and gas, he said.
