Nigeria: Robbers Kill Cleric in Adamawa

Suspected gunmen in the wee hours of Thursday struck at the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) in Girei, the headquarters of Girei local government area of Adamawa State and killed the choir master.

Residents said the gunmen numbering about seven forcefully gained access into the deceased home where they shot him dead.

The gunmen had earlier robbed a bakery manager of the sum of N200,000 before entering the flat of the choir master.

"They went into the flat of choir master, Marcus Musa, and started asking him: 'where is the money?' And they shot him when he could not bring the expected money," a resident said.

The Adamawa police command public relations officer, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, confirmed the incident yesterday
