Namibia: Construction Worker Dies After Steel Fell On Him

A 24-year-old man, who was temporarily employed by Kambwa Trading, died instantly when a load of steel fell on him at Oshakati on Saturday morning, the police said.

Another worker was seriously injured and was taken to the Oshakati State Hospital, where his condition is reportedly stable.

According to the police a truck was being loaded with steel that was to be taken to a bridge construction site at Endola when the accident happened.

The name of the deceased has not been released, as his next of kin still have to be informed.
