Angola: Trade Minister Pledges Assistance to Rural Population

Luanda — Angola's minister of Commerce, Rosa Pacavira, pledged the government's commitment to assist rural families to generate greater incomes, with a view to fight against hunger and poverty.

The minister, who was speaking to the press after an audience she granted to the director of UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, José Graziano da Silva, underlined that the Executive will invest this year seriously in the training and updating of rural population to improve their skill in the agriculture field.

We will increase the technical assistance and invest more and more in human capital, she said.
