Angola: Malanje Govt to Support Farmers

Malanje — The Government of the northern Malanje province pledged to encourage this year the services of support the family agriculture

as the sector has not recorded technological progress in the field since the achievement of peace in 2002, Angop has learnt.

The concern was expressed by the Provincial Governor of Malanje, Norberto dos Santos "Kwata Kanawa", when assessing the actions

developed by the local government , after 100 days in the office.

The official said that other actions comprise the possibility to re-launch cotton production in "baixa de Kassanje" in order to create a textile industry in the region.

Norberto dos Santos also said actions of the kind will be implemented in rice production, as well as installation of small industries in the province.
