Egypt: Thousands Rally At Presidential Palace Amid Little Security
1 February 2013
Thousands of demonstrators on Friday afternoon rallied in front of the presidential palace in Cairo chanting slogans opposing the rule of President Mohamed Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Security forces were only present at the gates of the palace where scores of the central security forces members stood, an Aswat Masriya witness reported.
They placed barbed wire and metal barriers in front of the palace to prevent demonstrators from gaining access to the gates.
