Egypt: Germany to Support Egypt With 354 Million Euro - Minister

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ashraf el-Arabi said that Germany would support Egypt with 354 million euro to implement several projects in the fields of sanitary drainage and drinking water, electricity, power, solid waste management, education and training.

In a press release on Thursday 31/01/2013, Arabi said that he discussed with German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Niebel means of boosting cooperation in the fields of economy and politics. This came on the sidelines of Morsy's visit to Berlin.

The meeting also tackled the ongoing domestic situation in Egypt. Niebel expressed his concern over the political and economic situation in the country.

They also discussed means of fostering German support to Egypt in the domains of health and transport.
