Angola: Celebrations of February 4 Open in Benguela

Lobito — The programme of celebrations of the 52nd anniversary of the start of the liberation struggle in Angola on February 4, opened Friday in central Benguela province with lectures on "The importance of February 4 in raising new generations' patriotic awareness."

In the province's port city of Lobito, the Centre/South regional director of the Association of Ex-guerrillas, brig. Benvindo dos Santos "Secuturé", met in the locality of Cabaya with the military from the school of logistics of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) during a lecture on the topic.

On the occasion, the FAA officer recalled the experiences of those who fought the liberation struggle against the Portuguese colonialism.

The programme of celebrations of February 4 in Benguela will go on until February 6, when a few primary schools will be inaugurated to salute the date.
