Kenya: IEBC Clears Three Trans Nzoia Hopefuls After Papers Hitch

The IEBC yesterday cleared the three Trans Nzoia governor hopefuls it had sent away on Thursday.

Ford Kenya's Patrick Khaemba, TNA's Joel Gesuka and New Ford Kenya's Kakai Bisau were on Thursday refused clearance because their degree certificates had not been certified by the Commission for Higher Education.

The three cleared with CHE yesterday before presenting their papers to the IEBC.

Former NGO council chair Ken Wafula (Safina), Henry Ndiema (Ford Kenya), Kipruto Kirwa (New Ford Kenya), Andrew Imo (MSM) and Maurice Maelo were cleared for senator.

Parliamentary aspirants Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini) and Joshua Kuttuny (Cherangany) were also cleared.
