Angola: Groups Warm Up for Carnival

Luanda — The way carnival groups are preparing for this year's edition of the event was showed Saturday in Luanda with the strength of dancers of groups Etu Mudietu, União 17 de Setembro and União Povo da Samba.

The groups performed with strength before the minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, the chairperson of Luanda Administrative Commission, José Tavares, that travelled to the districts of Sambizanga, Kilamba Kiaxi and Samba, to inspect the preparation of the groups for the 2013 edition of the carnival.

The inhabitants of the localities described, delighted by the songs and the choreography of the community, participated in the festival that aimed to show their performances before the parades at Nova Marginal, to be held on 9, 10 and 12 of this month.

The minister of Culture, satisfied with the visit, praised the groups.
