Egypt: Education Minister - 25th January Education Spirit Needed

Minister of Education Ibrahim Ghoeneim said that Egypt has 1.2 million teachers and there is a need to increase this figure.

The remarks came during celebrations to honor the ideal teacher held in the Teachers Syndicate in Fayyoum governorate on 2/2/2013.

He added that although ministers of the incumbent government know that there will be a ministerial reshuffle within two months, they are doing their best to fulfill their duties.

The ministry seeks to renovate the educational buildings in all governorates, the minister said.

48 ideal teachers were honored, six of them have PhDs and seven have master degree.
