Uganda: I Want to Quit but He Paid for My Tuition

I no longer love the father of my three children because of the pain he has put me through.

He is an alcoholic and returns home late at night or the next morning.

He has had several extra-marital affairs. Whenever I find out about them and confront him about it, he apologises and vows to change, but it has never happened.

In 2010, I discovered he was having an intimate relationship with one of the girls in the neighbourhood. I confronted him about it. He battered and threw me out of the house that night.

In my absence, twice he brought this girl home and slept with her in the presence of our five-year-old son. He apologised for these incidents and ended the relationship with that girl.

He is still an alcoholic drinks and returns home late.

I want to quit the relationship, but I'm at crossroads because he paid my tuition fees at university and we have children together. What should I do?
