Egypt: Presidential Guards - We Won't Be Dragged By Provocations of Protesters

The Presidential Guards Commander said Saturday 2/2/2013 that this forces will not be affected by provocative acts of protesters outside the Ittihadiya palace in Heliopolis.

Maj. Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Zaki condemned the fire set by demonstrators outside the main gate of the presidential palace.

"The Presidential Guards forces have extinguished these fires," he said, asserting that there are no riot police at the scene to avoid any clashes with the protesters.

The commander appealed to all protesters to be peaceful and prevent saboteurs from infiltrating into their demonstrations.
